Taser's Tsk Tsk Tsk

There's been Tupperware parties, Enjo cleaning product parties, Le Reve aromatherapy parties, lingerie parties and now? Well in the US there are taser parties... Yes that's right, get some girls together, get the champagne following, complete with a desperate underpaid brain-washed party consultant and practice tasering items in response to just as though you were being attacked.
The taser is at the forefront of portable personal security, small enough to fit in your handbag and available in a range of colours such as the vomit-worthy one featured above.

This is wrong on so many levels. What kind of Brave New World society are we heading for? I am already hesitant about the use of tasers by police in Australia let alone if every Tom, Dick and Harry had access to them. They are commonly thought of as being non-lethal but already there have been hundreds of fatality cases linked to tasers in the US. They are still a powerful weapon, and although not on the same level of guns, people tend to get "taser-happy" pulling them out when simple physical restraining techniques could have been used.

Undertaking a simple generic taser You Tube search can be confronting with scenes of taser miss-use...
